Why Working Behind the Scenes Is My Happy Place

Written by:

Not everyone loves the spotlight; I definitely don’t.

My happy place is behind the scenes, shaping the story quietly, without needing attention or applause.

There’s something grounding about the editing timeline, the detailed work, the flow of a conversation coming to life. I love the feeling of making something great without needing to be the voice on the mic.

Behind-the-scenes work matters just as much as hosting.
It’s where episodes become clear, cohesive, and enjoyable.

If you’re a podcaster doing everything yourself, remember that your behind-the-scenes work is valuable. The hours you spend planning, editing, organizing, and preparing make your show stronger, even if no one sees it.

Some of the best creative work happens quietly.
And honestly, that’s exactly how I like it.
